What should you bring to a holiday camp?

Please pack enough food for a full day and remember that our little SUPERSTARS get very hungry after all their activities. We are a very allergy-aware organisation, so please take extra care not to pack anything with raw eggs or nuts. Don’t forget a big water bottle and definitely please leave things like soft drinks or chewing gum off the menu! Sun Safety is important, so please apply sunscreen at home and remember to bring hat and shoes for outside play.

Are the places on the holiday camps limited?

At SUPERSTARS we offer limited places on holiday camps so the environment is small, fun and friendly. Please book early to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited depending on the theme of the day and activities organised. Yes, depending on the theme and the activities involved, we choose a number that ensures we can provide an exciting camp each time.

What if my child doesn't know anyone?

Our SUPERSTARS team keep a particularly careful eye out for those attending holiday camps for the first time, or anyone who is new to SUPERSTARS and may not know others. Don’t worry! We will help them settle in quickly and introduce them to others in attendance – after all, holiday camps are a great opportunity to build confidence and make some new friends.

Will my kids be together?

That’s really up to you and the preferences of your child. Typically, at a holiday camp, children are divided into smaller family or friendship groups and then the kids decide what activity they would like to start with – rotating through a whole range of activities on the day. The setting is relaxed and fun, so we would never put children in a position where they felt uncomfortable. Usually the boys go in a BOYS ONLY group but if a male sibling really wants to be with his sister we would not force him to stay with the boys.

Where are the holiday camps held?

Our holiday activities are held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the multipurpose hall and surrounding classrooms.
