THIS DAY is held in THE CHANDLER THEATRE at THE SLEEMAN SPORTS COMPLEX.
**Please note: the rehearsal and concert are on the SAME DAY.

SUPERSTARS CONCERT Overview

Firstly, as always we must stress that the concert is ALWAYS OPTIONAL OPTIONAL OPTIONAL! This concert is where every student at SUPERSTARS is welcome to join us for a stage concert where your children will do one performance (per dance class they attend weekly), in a hired dance costume and a finale in their SUPERSTARS uniform. The experience of performing in front of a live audience, on a professional stage is something that won’t be forgotten!  PLEASE KNOW: There is no consequence for choosing to NOT do the concert, every child is treated as though they ARE performing and we know in our records if we will expect you on the concert day or NOT.

COSTS INVOLVED IN DOING THE SUPERSTARS CONCERT

COSTS THAT NEED IMMEDIATE ACTION CONCERT FEE:  $77 paid by Sunday 7th September via TryBooking – https://www.trybooking.com/DEKJC 

This fee includes the cost of running a concert, care for your child backstage during the rehearsal and the concert, as well as a DIGITAL COPY OF THE PROFESSIONAL RECORDING OF BOTH of THE CONCERTS.
THIS FEE IS NOT YOUR TICKETS TO WATCH THE CONCERT – You buy these separately in November.


FUTURE COSTS INVOLVED that require your responsibility are:

COSTUME HIRE & UNIFORM

COSTUME HIRE: 1 COSTUME REQUIRED FOR EVERY CLASS YOUR CHILD ATTENDS (excluding children that do HIP HOP + slightly different for Musical Theatre students – stay tuned for 2nd note if you are Musical Theatre about costumes)

1 COSTUME – $44
2 COSTUMES – $84
3 COSTUMES – $124
4 COSTUMES – $164
5 COSTUMES – $204
This costume fee will be added to your TERM 4 TERM FEES.

SUPERSTARS UNIFORM: 
Every item you require including shoes, can all be purchased AT SUPERSTARS

  • EVERY student – boy or girl needs a SUPERSTARS T-shirt $29
  • Girls are welcome to choose the PINK Skirt $49 – $55 with Black Bike Pants ($4)
    OR the SUPERSTARS Tights $99 (child size) – $110 (adult sizes)
    OR the SUPERSTARS hot shorts CHILD $49 or ADULT $55 over their performance stockings
  • Performance stockings $15 which will be automatically billed to you unless you own them and let us know that you do not need a new pair.
  • Boys require their own BLACK shorts (plain black).

Jazz: Black Jazz Shoes – Lace Up or Slip On & Black Socks ($65 NEW)
Tap: Black Tap Shoes – Lace Up or Buckle & Black Socks ($70 NEW)
HipHop: Your own cool shoes from home
Acrobatics: NO SHOES for performance – Black shoes or black jazz shoes to do the finale
Musical Theatre: Black Jazz Shoes – Lace Up or Slip On & Black Socks ($65 NEW)
Lyrical/Contemporary: “FOOT UNDIES” – *NOT SOLD AT SUPERSTARS

MAKEUP is always optional – NOT compulsory at SUPERSTARS. We will send out more advice around this prior to the concert. WE do recommend the BEST LIPSTICK: MAYBELLINE MATTE COLOURSTAY – ‘Romantic’ is the colour. It stays on the lips and does NOT come off! We have some for sale $15 cash. x

TICKETS FOR THE CONCERT: The tickets for this concert don’t have a sale date YET, but you will need to purchase these online when released. We will give you plenty of notice
Tickets for Adults are $35 and Children requiring a seat are $25.  
NOTE: If you are bringing a child that will sit on your lap you don’t need to pay for them, however seating is allocated so you need to buy the amount of seats you’d like to sit on.
*PLEASE NOTE: The PERFORMER does not need a ticket
The ‘Stage Rehearsal’ on SATURDAY 22nd  November at the Chandler Theatre in the Sleeman Sports Complex.
This rehearsal flows STRAIGHT into the official ‘Concert’ on the SAME day!
The specific times are yet to be determined – we will let you know ASAP!

All students are to arrive in their full SUPERSTARS uniform (as above) please, and bring with them their costumes in the plastic bag they are given in the week prior.
For the rehearsal, you drop off your child via the stage door of the theatre, walking them to their assigned area to meet their carer and then leave immediately please.
We have NO parents backstage for the concert or rehearsal!
