Frequently Asked Questions – 2025 Concert

CONCERT FEE: $77 (compulsory for ALL STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN CONCERT)

FOR anyone who participate in AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Cheerleading and Musical Theatre.
COSTUME HIRE:

STOCKINGS: $15 (compulsory for every student that attends an afternoon class to be worn under the costume on the concert day).

You are also required to wear the SUPERSTARS UNIFORM.

This is what all STAR CLASS AND HIP HOP STUDENTS WEAR as costume. All other students are required to wear the uniform to the concert as they need to return the HIRE COSTUME after the concert.

• Every student – boy or girl needs a SUPERSTARS T-shirt $29
• Boys require own BLACK shorts
• Girls in AFTERNOON classes are welcome to choose the PINK Skirt (CH$49 or AD$55), SUPERSTARS Custom Bike Shorts (CH$49 or AD$55) or the SUPERSTARS Tights (CH$99 or AD$110)

APPROPRIATE SHOES FOR EACH DANCE STYLE: (Every item you require can all be purchased at SUPERSTARS.)

• Jazz: Black Jazz Shoes – Lace Up or Slip On ($28-$65)
• Tap: Black Tap Shoes – Lace Up or Buckle ($35-$70)
• Hip Hop: Own groovy sneakers and cool socks
• Acro/Cheerleading: NO SHOES on stage – black shoes or sneakers to arrive in
• Musical Theatre: Black Jazz Shoes – Lace Up or Slip On ($28-$65)
• Lyrical/Contemporary: TOE UNDIES (not sold at SUPERSTARS) for on stage – black shoes or sneakers to arrive in

You can buy uniform items from Mt Carmel or Carina venue on your dance class days, or email us at shine@superstars.net.au and we can get sent to St James or St Elizabeths.

If you participate in BOYS HIP HOP, BABY, TINY OR PREPREP STARS you will wear the SUPERSTARS UNIFORM as your “costume” at the concert

If you participate in TAP, JAZZ, ACRO OR MUSICAL THEATRE your child will be required to wear a costume for the concert.

Tickets are sold via TryBooking for the SUPERSTARS concert and will go on sale at the end of October
Ticket for Adults are $33 and children requiring a seat are $22.
If you are bringing a child that will sit on your lap, you don’t need to pay for them. Seating is allocated so you need to buy the amount of seats you’d like to sit on.
PLEASE NOTE: The performer does not pay for a ticket – but can still go and watch in audience once they are finished performing more details to follow. Please remember the seats are ALLOCATED.

The ‘Stage Rehearsal’ is held immediately  before the SUPERSTARS concert on the 22nd of November. Exact times will be provided ASAP.

All students are to arrive in their full SUPERSTARS uniform as above please.

Make up is COMPLETELY optional at the SUPERSTARS Concert! A bit of lipgloss and mascara to open their eyes is beautiful if they want to wear make up.

‘Romantic’ is the colour. It stays on the lips and does NOT come off! 

The SUPERSTARS Concert is held at Chandler Theatre in the Sleeman Sports Complex

Yes. We hold one rehearsal on the stage immediately before the concert. You will be told that specific time a few weeks before the concert.

ALL STUDENTS must wear your SUPERSTARS uniform to the concert.

There is NO PARENTS allowed backstage. We have sufficient helpers we hire that are able to look after your class.
Your childs class teacher will be there at all times to ensure your child is happy and safe.

No! If you have kept your tan stockings and they have no rips or tears you are more than welcome to use them again and don’t need to buy a new pair!
