How the day runs
Stay tuned, we'll send your exact times by class closer to the day.
Drop off at the stage door
All students are to arrive in their full SUPERSTARS uniform. If they are school aged and NOT in a Mon 3:30 or Weds 3:30 Hip Hop class, they are to bring their performance costumes in the plastic bag they are given in the week prior. You drop off your child via the stage door of the theatre, walking them to their assigned area to meet their carer and then leave immediately please. Note ~ we have NO parents backstage for the concert or rehearsal!
Stage rehearsal
Every class walks through their piece on the real stage, so nothing feels new when the curtain goes up.
Backstage with their carer
Our team stays with every child between rehearsal and the show, they are on hand to help with everything from costume changes, snacks, nerves and all.
Showtime
You take your seat. Please walk promptly to your seat so we can start our show on time (no lingering in the foyer), and enjoy the show!. Your dancer performs once for every class they attend, then joins the whole-school finale.
Collection
Straight after the finale, collect your SUPERSTAR from the same place you dropped them off. (Never directly from the stage).

Frequently asked questions
Does my child have to be in the concert?
No, it's always optional, and there's no consequence for opting out. Every child is taught the routine either way. Just let us know so we know whether to expect them on the day.
My child is only three. Is that too young?
Not at all. Our youngest SUPERSTARS perform every year with their teacher right there beside them. For a lot of families it ends up being the highlight of the year.
Do boys need to wear a costume?
If you participate in BOYS HIP HOP, BABY, TINY OR PREPREP STARS you will wear the SUPERSTARS UNIFORM as your “costume” at the concert. If you participate in TAP, JAZZ, ACRO OR MUSICAL THEATRE your child will be required to wear a costume for the concert.
Can I stay backstage with them?
We don't have parents backstage during rehearsal or the show, it keeps things calm for every child. Your dancer is with their assigned carer from drop off to collection.
How do I buy tickets for the concert?
Tickets are sold via TryBooking for the SUPERSTARS concert and will go on sale at the end of October. You will receive email notifications closer to the date to let you know exactly when ticket bookings open. All tickets are $35. If you are bringing a child that will sit on your lap, you don’t need to pay for them. Seating is allocated so you need to buy the amount of seats you’d like to sit on. Please note: The performer does not pay for a ticket.
What if my child does more than one class?
They'll perform once for each class they attend, plus the finale. That means one costume per class, with the exception of Hip Hop.
Will there be photos and video?
Yes, we have professional photographers there on the day, and the show is professionally recorded. A digital copy of the recording is included in your concert fee.
Does my performer need an audience ticket?
No. Performers don't need a seat, they're backstage with us. You only buy seats for the people watching.
Does my child need to wear make up at the concert?
Make up is COMPLETELY optional at the SUPERSTARS Concert! A bit of lipgloss and mascara to open their eyes is beautiful if they want to wear make up. WE do recommend MAYBELLINE MATTE COLOURSTAY if you choose to use lipstick – ‘Romantic’ is the colour. It stays on the lips and does NOT come off. We also sell this with the uniforms for $15.
Are there any extra rehearsals before the concert?
Yes. We hold one rehearsal on the stage immediately before the concert. You will be told the specific drop-off time for your child a few weeks before the concert. They will get to rehearse on stage between their drop-off time and the concert. We also practice in classes in the lead up to the concert, and you'll receive a video link of your childs dance so they can do some extra practices at home.
I have tan dance stockings from last year/another SUPERSTARS performance - do I need new ones?
No! If you have kept your tan stockings and they have no rips or tears you are more than welcome to use them again and don’t need to buy a new pair.
Comitting to the concert?
Click the link below to confirm your child's spot in the concert. Alternatively, let Rach and Bronte know ASAP if you are not participating and we'll take you off the concert mailing list.
